Lost his head!!

Oh, dear. He lost his head even though he has angels at his side. Face oeste of Notre Dame de Paris features this handsome quartet. I wish I knew more of my saints but there are so many. Could this be John the Baptist? If so, where is Salome....must be hidden under seven veils. Speaking of heads, mine is so congested I can't think very well. Posted by Picasa

Up Top Metro Palais Royale

I found this "hoopa", my word for it", right after you get to the top of the stairs at Metro Palais Royale.

It was well decorated and quite festive. I don't have a clue as to what it was all about. However, One never knows what one will find on the streets of Paris, do one? LOL

By the look of the people around it, they found it entertaining also. Posted by Picasa

Bizet! Composer Immortal Even as a child, I loved opera. I have seen and heard Carmen more than any other. We will see Lucia di Lammermoor tomorrow afternoon at the Kentucky Opera in Louisville. There is no comparison in my mind. Carmen will always be my first love. This find in Pere Lachaise's resting field offers so many surprises. Our one visit was just an appetite whetter.  Posted by Picasa

Venus Spatiale

In keeping with Eric's theme of the month, "waist down", I offer the famous Venus Spatiale from Espace Dali located in the Montmartre. Dali split her in two, poor thing. What one must do for art!
